There are many reasons why you may need to extend your photographic coverage with me and book a romancing the dress session after your wedding day.
It might be style. You had the most wonderful wedding at a beautiful location but dreamed of the two of you on the beach, or in woodland. It might be the time of year. You were married in the romantic candle lit season of winter, but dreamed of warmer spring sunshine in your images. It might be schedule. You want to spend more time with your family and friends and prefer to leave your portraits for another time. It might be the weather. A rainy day in an amazing outdoors venue is always an issue, so you may wish to rebook your portraits on a drier day. It might be a combination of all these things. For Rachel and Josh it was fairly simple. They were married at one of the the largest and most beautiful venues in Norfolk and wanted to explore it all! Blickling Hall has so many backdrops and vistas that you could literally shoot for the entire day and still not scratch the surface. At their planning meeting we'd discussed their favourite locations and decided to take snippets of every element of the extensive gardens.
On their wedding day I concentrated on their fusion film, family groups and the locations we were already visiting by the orangery. We were also blessed with an amazing golden hour so used a little of the parterre flowers. A few weeks after their return from honeymoon, they dressed up again and we revisited the house and gardens. Rachel loves the brick work in the entrance courtyard and it was brilliant to have the time to explore the archways, alcoves, doorways and wisteria. The floral borders were particularly good this year so we took a walk through to my favourite old trees and the lake view beyond.
If any of this strikes a chord, a Romancing the Dress session can be bolted on to any of my packages. Get in touch for more information.
