At the end of February I headed to Norwich Cathedral and Langley Abbey to capture the winter woodland themed wedding of Georgia and Fergus.
This immense day started at the home of Georgia's parents in Hingham. I was greeted by an excited group of ladies with hair and makeup in full swing. I couldn't wait to see Georgia's bespoke designed Elizabeth Todd gown and it was as beautiful as I'd imagined. The morning flew by and soon it was time for Georgia to transform. She looked incredible.
At the cathedral I met up with Fergus who was understandably a little nervous. Their ceremony was in the main nave and the guests were just as overwhelmed by the surroundings. The weather held long enough for Georgia to compose herself before the huge west doors were opened to the most stunning view and proudest moment for her and dad. The cathedral has always been an important place for me. As a child, I used to visit for services and always dreamt of going up high. Thanks to the organist, I got my chance; the view was magical and awe inspiring. After the ceremony we took a few minutes for some fun photography in the routemaster bus before heading to the cloisters. It was the perfect backdrop to showcase their styling and love.
Their theme was based around a winter woodland. Over at Langley Abbey the barn was beautifully decorated with trees, metallic leaves and animal candles. Their cake, a full five tiered tour-de-force, was decorated in a tree bark design. Michael and the Brasted's team created a sumptuous meal with the tastiest trio of desserts. They'd chosen James "Just Like Fred Astaire' for their first dance, afterwards Georgia headed off for a quick outfit change before the ever-so fun ceilidh. It was the most fun, romantic and opulent wedding that was a huge honour to capture. Congratulations.
