I had been looking forward to photographing Rachel and Andrew's Norfolk humanist wedding for a fair few years.
Rachel is the third of three wonderful sisters to get married and I love how they've all created something unique and individual. Rachel and Andrew are a vivacious couple who wanted their wedding to 100% reflect them as a couple. They opted for a first look in the stunning surroundings of East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens. From the moment Andrew turned around, he couldn't keep his eyes off her. No wonder as she looked stunning in a lace detailed Sottero and Midgley gown. Such an emotional moment and I know was one of Rachel's highlights from the day. Afterwards we spent a little time creating some beautiful portraits in the gardens.
Over at Dairy Barns the courtyard was set for their outdoor humanist ceremony. They wrote their own words, with memories and reflections from their lives together all set to the beautiful music of Vivace. It was so meaningful and emotional, they must have thought they were in a dream.
I adored the opulent styling. A mixture of champagne tones against a festooned backdrop of lights in the barn. The entire room shimmered with the layers of light reflected in the sequin tablecloths. The tables were decorated with candelabras and pretty florals. Ribbons also featured throughout; from the hand tying ceremony to the chairs and bouquets. The giant LOVE letters were a fantastic feature of their day. After their heartfelt speeches, yummy hog roast and Hummingbird cake, it was time for a few shots at the bar and dancing. Their choreographed routine was brilliant and I left the party in full swing with time for a few sparklers to be waved. It was an absolute belter from start to end and I feel so honoured to have been a part of this most wondrous of days.
