After my mammoth and awesome four weddings last week, I left Norfolk early on Sunday to join in the festivities at the Master Photography Awards in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Photographers travelled from the four corners of the UK and also from as far away as Africa and Australia to learn and be inspired over the two days of seminars. My highlight was undoubtedly the Yerburys - Faye and Trevor let us peek into their world of fine art nude portraiture - truly inspirational.
On Sunday night I donned my fab red frock and celebrated the very best imagery the world has to offer. Over 2000 entries from working professionals kicked off the first round of digital judging, with a second round of images being scrutinised in the printed submission round. I entered non-wedding work for a little change and was thrilled that one of my images achieved the sort-after 'merit' score. My evening didn't end there as I ended up on stage to be awarded a certificate for my wedding work. Huge thank you to Rachael, Gail and Panikos for their company over the weekend. Same time next year?
