Japanese Fusion Bridal Inspiration on the English Wedding Blog

When I first met Sachiko - the master florist behind Libby Ferris - many years ago, an idea bubbled away of creating an inspirational gallery using her RHS Chelsea winning ikebana skills. It wasn't until I met bride Hayley that I began to start to think more seriously about bringing this idea to reality.

Calling on my closest industry friends, and hosted at the sublime Pentney Abbey, we avoided the cliche of wedding origami and concentrated on the symbolism of the koi. Reimagining the bouquet as a fan and adding vintage kimono and obi, we created a colourful backdrop to showcase the stunning dress. Our hope is that it inspires brides to get colourful and shows how you can marry this with simplicity in styling.

I'm so thrilled this styled shoot was published on The English Wedding Blog, an inspirational blog curated by Claire who isn't afraid of publishing something a little different - thank you!
