It seems an age ago since Vanessa and Neil travelled up from Hertfordshire to see me and book their wedding photography. I was thrilled the summer’s great weather gave them the most perfect day at Cley Windmill a few weeks ago. In the preceding months we’d chatted through their ideal images and they asked for a non formal, documentary and playful gallery - it was a huge honour and huge amount of fun creating these memories.
My day began with the transformation of the beautiful Vanessa into a Hollywood screen siren - by the amazing Amelia Garwood - she looked stunning in her Justin Alexander gown. The guys navy three pieces and accent of fuchsia complemented the styling at the mill and expressed their personalities. After an emotional ceremony and bubbles of both kinds, we enjoyed the fabulous weather in the garden with traditional games and even a coconut shy.
I so enjoyed being given free reign in portraits, exploring some of my favourite parts of the mill and beach. Experimenting with double exposures, shoes and a leaping groom! Back at the mill we enjoyed more emotional speeches outside in the sunshine before their fabulous meal around the long table. Vanessa made all the cakes & favours and I loved their son’s creations in icing and lego. If you could define or describe a perfect fun summer's wedding, this would be it. Congratulations V+N x
