A windmill was built on Cley quayside for very good reasons; one of its most obvious ones is wind. It's a beautiful place to get married, but when the wind's up it can get interesting! On Sarah and Susan's wedding day, we had storm force gales to contend with! Luckily the registrars were game and the marquee was saved (well done Bev) and they had the most beautiful duo ceremony in the garden accompanied by Xenia Horne's String Trio.
The marquee was beautifully styled by Bev at Serendipity Hire, with rustic textures, lavender and corn. The natural tones were taken into their attire, with Sarah wearing a grey linen suit and Susan a beautiful green and blue dress.
They wanted a laid back wedding and there was a lovely relaxed feeling to the day. I kept their portraits informal, after the ceremony we spent a little while looking for natural backgrounds out of the wind. By this time the sun was shining and everyone was having a great time. Every wedding is a huge honour to photograph and I want to thank their family and guests for making me very welcome in their intimate party. Congrats S&S.
